SINGLE ROOM MAKEOVER

Two boys, one room, and again, Lego. Ryan and Daniel live in one great house, but mom needed a place for the boys to play, relax, and well, generally give her some peace. Did I mention they were twins? Their room was (no offense, mom) chaotic. We needed organization, places to study, space to play/wrestle and clearly defined home turf. Oh! And they love pirates, so there was the whimsy that was needed. After the whole gang approved the plan I had worked up, I got down to business re organizing, shopping, ordering art, and putting up the epic feature wall. The floor to ceiling canvas curtains really cozy the space up and add intimacy, as well as evoking a ship’s sails and is mounted on a long oak curtain rod, our mast. In the end, there was two separate sleeping areas with drawers under the beds for separate Lego stashes. Two separate study desks, a cozy reading nook in the bay window with floor pillows, and a huge soft rug that makes the room seem huge, and I’m told is perfect for wrestling. Mom was way too busy running her business and having three kids so I did it all for her, and I can do it all for you too.
